General Event Information
A run for everyone
This event is for anyone of any age and ability, as long as you’re wearing a kilt. You can choose to run or walk, it’s all at your pace. No pets, bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted. For safety reasons, we request those with strollers or a non-racing wheelchair to start from the back of the pack.

Perth Kilt Run registration fees
The Perth Kilt Run fees are determined by age group. See: Run Information
You’ll be able to register on the day between 7am and 8am, however register online before 5pm on Saturday 4 October and you’ll pay less than the event day price.
Registrations on the day will be cash or card.
If you cannot register online, please contact the Events Team on 9394 5000.
- Be considerate of others.
- Please be aware of other participants. If you’re walking or have a pram or wheelchair, we ask that you move to the side and let people though or stay behind those going faster than you.
- Please listen to all announcements for instructions and last-minute information.
- Please keep to the left unless overtaking.
- Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Jewellery and headphones are discouraged.
- Please watch your footing on pathways, potential hazards and or ramps.
- Please watch for overhanging trees, signage and walkway bollards.
- No bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted. Dogs (excluding service dogs) are only permitted on the Classic Course (with dogs) at the mandated start time.
Whilst we encourage runners to familiarise themselves with the course, please observe all regular road rules and only run on footpaths when training. The event has specific road closures for the morning of the event only.
Running with headphones on while participating has inherent risks and is discouraged for the safety of yourself and other patrons.
Please don’t compete if you have been sick or have had a viral infection in the 10 days prior to event day. You may potentially be putting your own health, and the health of fellow runners, at risk if you do so.
First aid personnel are located at the start area as well as stationed throughout the course and can provide immediate assistance if required.
Minnawarra Park and surrounding areas will have the following facilities for public use:
- Portable toilets
- Water fountains
- First aid
- ACROD seating available throughout the event
Please be aware there are no changing facilities on site. We recommend that all runners wear comfortable and suitable attire, such as bike pants or shorts, to wear underneath your kilt.
Yes, the 2.5km Classic is a flat route. There will be accessible toilets available next to the pathways.

There will be a bag drop at the Information tent for Perth Kilt Run participants only.
To access this service you will need to show your run bib to staff. Please note we don’t recommend leaving valuables such as wallets, keys or phones in your bag. While all care will be taken to ensure the safety of your belongings, we cannot take responsibility for any items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
There is strictly no swimming allowed at the Armadale Highland Gathering.
For those attending the event, we encourage parents to Always Watch Around Water. Children under 6 must always be within arm’s reach. Children under 13 must always be kept in sight.
